That God’s Holy Presence
about us,
within us,
within others
and
in all the circumstances
which God’s Holiness
places in our lives
might become
an ever-deepening conscious reality,
the cause for wondrous joy,
absorbing
personal love
and
the central meaning
of each action in life, in fact
Life itself,
for our souls and our mind and heart
so that
we
“no longer live but Christ lives”
in us
is the primary purpose for which
our way of life
and all it involves is undertaken.
“Unlike angelic decisions, our decisions once made need constant support and reminder: ‘The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak’ (Mt. 26:41)” (SMP Const. Ch. I, No. 4).
